Officials are investigating after a Liberty Hill police officer fatally shot someone on Wednesday, said Williamson County Sheriff Mike Gleason.
The officer who was involved is a Liberty Hill police officer, the sheriff said.
The Texas Rangers are investigating the incident. Gleason said. He said he did not have any more details on Wednesday evening about the shooting but said he was not aware of the officer being injured.
Williamson County sheriff’s officials said earlier on Wednesday that there was a heavy law enforcement presence along RM 1869 near Liberty Hill, and that the road is closed.
